Amy brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to the strategic application of information technology. Amy’s professional career combines the unique perspective of a critical care nurse, senior healthcare executive, and Chief Information Officer. She is highly knowledgeable across a wide range of information technologies. Using her vast experience, Amy is able to assist clients in the development of practical solutions to their information needs. Her leadership includes successfully managing complex projects across a wide spectrum of healthcare environments including academic medical centers, community hospitals and clinics.
During her career Amy served as a nursing leader, consultant and CIO. Amy has successfully completed a multitude of large scale projects such as the implementation of standardized medical record systems across a 27 hospital system over a 14 month period. This included managing large IT projects with budgets in excess of $600 million dollars.
Amy began her career as a critical care nurse where she developed her clinical, managerial and leadership skills. She transitioned to information technology as a trainer assuming the responsibility for the successful deployment and implementation of several IT systems. Her experience in IT continued to expand until she served as a CIO for a large Integrated Delivery Network. Amy’s experience also includes working for several notable IT vendors gaining valuable knowledge of the IT business from a vendor’s perspective.
Amy’s formal education and training includes a Masters in Informatics and Administration, a BSN, certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and certification in Lean-Six Sigma.
