Frank Mlinarec, Master Black Belt, has over 20 years of experience in assisting hospitals by improving their workflow processes and productivity. He uses his extensive skills as Master Black Belt to coach, train and certify thousands of healthcare professionals in the discipline of Lean-Six Sigma. Frank’s expertise includes apprenticing at all levels of an organization such as operations, management and senior leaders. Frank’s background as a teacher and skills as an instructor make him a highly effective certification agent.
Frank has successfully designed and facilitated the implementation of improvement methods across a diverse spectrum of healthcare environments. Frank brings his clients innovative ideas and strategies derived from his early career experiences in other industries including resort hospitality, printing, publishing, chemical refining and manufacturing.
Mr. Mlinarec’s expertise spans numerous quality disciplines including the theories and methods advanced by Deming, Juran, Lean and Six Sigma. Frank received his formal training and certification from the American Society of Quality as a Quality Engineer and as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He is an expert in the creative and effective application of advanced tools such as PDCA, DMAIC, DOE, DFSS, strategic planning and behavioral assessment tools in the healthcare setting. His range of healthcare accomplishments includes radically improving patient care throughput, surgery, ED and Cost Quality Recovery.
Frank’s formal education includes a Master of Science in Statistics and Experimental Design from Southern Illinois University. He also holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Miami in Quality Management and a Bachelor of Art in Statistics and Psychology.
Mr. Mlinarec’s professional affiliations include the American Management Association and the American Society for Quality (ASQ). He is certified by the ASQ as a Quality Engineer and is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
