Jane Johnston, RN | Caldwell Butler & Associates

Jane is a Registered Nurse with executive nursing leadership experience. During Jane’s 35+ year career, her experience includes serving as a CNO, in both for-profit and not-for- profit hospitals ranging in bed size from 175 to 450 beds. She brings extensive experience in nursting staffing models and creating effective nursing units. Her unique style of working with individuals combined with numerous programs that she has developed has resulted in many highly cohesive and effective nursing leadership teams. These organizations have benefited from increased staff satisfaction and retention, improved physician satisfaction and improved delivery and quality of care. She offers experience with all hospital operational departments both inpatient and outpatient ancillary and nursing including home health, hospice, quality, education, risk management, and contracted services. In addition, she is keenly aware of the financial pressures and reimbursement issues plaguing most organizations and the impact that an effective nursing department can have and uses Lean methods to remove waste.

Jane combines this unique set of skills and experience to provide managers with coaching in the application of Lean methods. She brings practical solutions for our healthcare clients and provides:

  • Knowledge of hospital operations , including Emergency and Surgery Departments

Experienced quality professional

Prior to joining Caldwell Butler & Associates, Jane worked with with For-Profit Hospital organizations and served as a CNO for the past 15 years. Jane holds a BSN from Georgia State University and an MBA from State University of West Georgia. She is a Fellow in the Wharton Program for Nursing Executives and a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the American Organization of Nursing Executives.
